Please visit our website (kenings.co.za) or call our offices (021 555 9561) to book your vehicle.

You can pay for your rental in advance or you can pay for your rental when you are collecting your vehicle.

The great thing about renting from Kenings is that we are not overly strict in our rental requirements.
To rent a vehicle from Kenings, you need to have a valid driver’s licence and a credit card that is in the name of the person picking up the vehicle.

You need to bring your valid driver’s license as well as your ID.

The only age requirement Kenings imposes is that the driver of the vehicle must be 21 or older and must have held a driver’s licence for at least two years. If the driver is younger, there will be a Young Drivers surcharge. (Applies to International Drivers as well).

Kenings requires a credit card to hold the excess deposit on the credit card in case something happens to the vehicle while in your possession.

Kenings accepts all major credit cards including MasterCard, Diners Club, American Express and Visa, as long as the credit card is in the name of the renter. Please note: Kenings does require a hold on the credit card to cover the excess which will be released back to you once the vehicle is returned. Other methods of payment for the rental are accepted, however, a credit card is needed for the hold.

Yes, our rental agents will gladly assist you with changes, such as adding a driver, upgrading to better insurance or changing your drop-off time.

Yes, we have representatives that will be able to collect or deliver the vehicle to you outside business hours.

Rental charges are calculated in 24 hours (24 hours = 1-day rental). For example: if a vehicle is collected at 08:00 am on Monday and returned at 08:00 am on Tuesday, that is one day. If a vehicle is collected at 08:00 on Monday and returned at 10:00 am on Tuesday, the rental period is two days.
1) Standard Cover: The client is responsible for a limited liability amount (Excess) in case of damage or loss to a Kenings vehicle. The daily standard rate is lower; the excess payable for any damage or loss is higher. 2) Super Cover: The client will also be liable for a limited liability amount (Excess) in case of damages or loss. The daily super rate is higher; the excess payable for any damages or loss is lower. The above will not apply in case of negligence, the client will be held liable for the full amount of damage (and not just the excess). For example, an accident due to exceeding the speed limit, driving a Kenings vehicle under the influence of alcohol/narcotics, or recklessly.

Our Kenings representatives are devoted to returning the deposit to you as soon as possible but with unexpected delays, it may take up to 14 to 21 working days.

Certain vehicles may enter the following countries: • Botswana • Lesotho • Namibia • Swaziland • Zambia Clients are to notify Kenings of any cross-border travel before rental to ensure the required documentation is drawn up and submitted for display at the border. Fees are applicable as well as over-border rules to be adhered to.
All rental vehicles are inspected before collection and then again when the vehicle is returned. A pre-rental inspection sheet is completed with the client to document kilometres, damages, and fuel levels, once the vehicle is returned a post-rental inspection sheet will be completed. If any additional damages are documented the client will be charged for the repairs.
Providing your flight details ensures that we are aware of your arrival time and can check if there are any delays (in case of delay we will keep your reservation and not label the rental as a “no show”) or early arrivals.
